dress shirts

"A shirt can be the right size and still not fit. The difference is in how you stand: the line of your shoulders, the way you hold your back. So we measure your posture as carefully as your size."

From there, five artisans make your shirt by hand, in cloth from fabric houses we know and trust. Every detail follows your wishes, down to our signature invisible underarm patch.

No pulling, no adjusting, no second thought. That is the perfect fit.

Introduction

Your first visit is a conversation. Our master tailor shows you how a bespoke shirt is made and asks how you will wear it: to work, to dinner, with or without a jacket.

Measure & Styling

We take 11 body measurements by hand and look at your posture: the line of your shoulders, the way you stand. Then the cloth, from more than 500 fabrics by houses such as Thomas Mason and Albini, and the details: collar, cuffs and mother-of-pearl buttons.

Fitting & Pick up

About three to five weeks later your shirt arrives at the showroom. You try it on with our master tailor, who checks the collar, the sleeves and the fit through the body before you take it home.

Bespoke Heritage

The Genaio Signature

A Genaio shirt is truly bespoke. We take your measurements from the body, and your personal pattern is drawn and cut by hand.

Your shirt is made by the same craftsmen who work for the most prestigious bespoke makers in the world. Only five of them work on each order, from the first cut to the last button.

Two details set our shirts apart:

The invisible underarm patch. Sewn discreetly inside the shirt, it protects against perspiration marks, so your shirt stays immaculate all day.

The Ascolite® button shank wrapping system. Every button is raised on a fine wrapped stem. It fastens with ease, sits perfectly and stays in place for years.

The rest is yours to choose: the model, the collar, the cuffs and a selection of mother-of-pearl buttons.

Drawn by hand

Ten Hands, One Shirt

A shirt is the garment closest to you. You wear it from the first meeting of the day to the last dinner, so it should feel like nothing at all.

At your visit, the cloth comes first: something crisp for the office, something softer for the weekend, something fine for the evening. Then the choices. The collar that frames your face, the cuffs, the line through the body, the buttons, your initials if you wish. Our master tailor speaks the language of the trade and translates it, so you always know what you are choosing.

This is the art of Genaio: elegance shaped by ten hands, made for you, and for the moment you walk in.
